Donut Dash 2017 was a record-breaking success!
Thank you to each and every participant that helped us break our goal and exceed our $500,000 commitment to the Live Like Lou Center for ALS Research.
We are still accepting donations and will continue to count these towards the funds we raise in 2017. We want to thank our generous sponsors again for all they have done to support the Donut Dash and the fight against ALS.
On February 5, 2015, LiveLikeLou.org and the University of Pittsburgh announced the formation of the Live Like Lou Center for ALS Research. The new center focuses both on developing new treatments and on improving the quality of life for people who are now living with the progressive, degenerative neurological condition. The ultimate goal: a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
To fund this research center LiveLikeLou.org has pledged to raise $2.5 million dollars over the next five years. Donut Dash is honored to be a part of that initiative by pledging to raise $500,000 in contribution to LiveLikeLou.org’s pledge in honor of our beloved alumni advisor, Bob Dax, who died from ALS in 2017.
